The Santa Barbara Channels Can Help You Get Your Message Out.

We can provide you with effective, modern media solutions to show people what you do, who you are, and why you are important. We’re a nonprofit too; we understand the challenges you face and current economic realities.

Channel 17 (Community Access) and SBTV 21 (Culture, Arts, and Education) are available in every home on the South Coast receiving Cox Communication. That’s almost 80% of all households between Carpinteria and Gaviota!

• Use our Green Screen Studio to produce your own video.
Use our virtual sets (similar to the map the weather forecaster points to on TV) to produce a quick and easy promo, a PSA, or an event announcement. Thanks to a grant from the Santa Barbara Foundation, your first Green Screen is free! The final product will be posted on our video website (www.sbchannels.net) and will air frequently on Channel 17. Your video can also be e-mailed to everyone on your list, and we can help you post it on your website.

• Apply to be one of our featured programs on Nonprofit Spotlight.
The Nonprofit Spotlight is a half hour program of 5-8 minute videos featuring local nonprofit organizations. These episodes are shot in the field and air repeatedly on Channel 21. The final product is also posted on our video website (www.sbchannels.net), can be sent by e-mail, and is a great marketing tool. Most nonprofits pay only $300 per segment; the bulk of the production cost is currently underwritten by an Orfalea Foundation grant.

• Public Service Announcements (PSAs).
We can produce simple and quick PSAs for only 300 dollars or we can produce a PSA with higher production value for a negotiated fee.

• We can cover your event in the field for a negotiated fee.
Our team will shoot, edit, and deliver a complete program based on your production needs.

• We can produce a town hall, a forum, and live performances in our new studio.
In May, we’ll be in a fabulous new facility with a large studio capable of accommodating a live studio audience of up to 50 people! Come to our new studio to record a town hall or community forum. You can take live calls, e-mails, and comments from the studio audience.

• Produce your own TV series on Channel 17.
If you want to produce a program, we will train your staff or volunteers, as well as provide studio space and regular airtimes. The cost is minimal and only requires 3-4 committed people.

• Provide us with an already produced video.
If it’s short (under 8 minutes), we will post it on our video website (www.sbchannels.net) and it will also air on our nightly Green Screen TV program.
